There are lots of Airbnb options all over the city, and since Coruña is pretty small, it doesn't really matter where it is as long as it's A Coruña proper. On the map below, our house is pinned, anywhere within the scope of the map would be ideal!
If unsure about where the Airbnb is or whether it's a good option or not, just ask!
Again, there are loads. The same advice applies on location and asking us if you're unsure. I'm putting some ideas below, these are tried and tested and we either know people there or have good reviews from them. It doesn't mean that others are no good!
1. Hotel Lois - Rúa Estrella, 40, 15003 A Coruña.
This one is on our street, and reasonably-priced with nice staff.
2. Hotel Riazor - Av. de Pedro Barrié de la Maza, 29, 15004 A Coruña.
On the beach, nice rooms, and pretty much in the town centre.
3. Eurostars Blue Coruña - Rúa Juana de Vega, 7, A, 15004 A Coruña.
Central!
4. Any 'Alda' hotel.
There are several of these concentrated around the centre. While we haven't stayed in any ourselves here, we have in other cities around Spain and were always pleased.
5. Doubletree - R. Zalaeta, 12, 15002 A Coruña.
One street back from the beach. Not as economical as some of the others, but we have heard good things and seen some ok deals.
Just in case it's of use while you're having a butcher's, we wouldn't recommend 'Hotel Nido'. It's super central but we haven't heard good things, someone once told me that they saw a silverfish on the wall, making it's name apt (Literally, hotel 'nest').
There is also another one on the beach, the Melía María Pita. While there have been no complaints about this one specifically, a recurring comment is that it's not really worth what you pay for it, especially not the breakfast. My mum's official conclusion is 'Expensive and soulless') ha! Something to keep in mind.
Once you have decided where to stay, let us know! Among other things, it will inform where we put the one or two pick-up / drop-off points for the buses.
